Why did he have to get caught up in the romance and dreams of a woman? He should have known it'd turn out bad. That he'd never be able to remain with her. To love her and be loved by her.
Shawn shook his head as he stepped into the cafe. He smiled sadly at the elderly waitress. She patted his cheek and handed him a coffee. "Ya'll righ hun?" she asked as she pulled together a few drinks for some other people. Shawn looked at her, sipping his coffee. With a shrug he slouched and looked down at the table. "Love's difficult," he jsut said and sighed. The woman nodded in understanding and with a squeeze on his shoulder went to help her customers. Shawn had talked about it with his brothers and they had said it was for the best. that he get out before feelings actually developed. Playing women always had drawbacks.

THAYET IRVINGTON "Faith is the strength by which a shattered world shall emerge into the light." - Helen KellerThayet moved into the cafe, it had been five weeks since she'd crushed her last cell phone against his windsheild. But in those five weeks she'd grown into a grave woman. It was as it the party-goer had suddently been placed on a chain as she recouperated. Today she carried a notebook and a pencil, stuck mishaply behind her ear with her blonde hair tumbling freely down her slender shoulders. She'd come here to think, oh and for her date with Greg, some horse trainer who was around her age and worked on the family farm. It was all set up by her parents of course, even though the man who came in the door behind her and led her to a table was gorgeous with dark brown locks and shiny blue eyes he seemed..not her type almost. Sighing Thay sat down in the booth, imediatly flipping open her notebook and took her pencil from behind her ear. She had thinking to do..

Shawn McCarther She's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star She's the song in the car I keep singing, don't know why I doShawn pulled out a few bills and tossed them on the counter top when the waitress brought him another coffee and some pancakes. He lathered the sirup on. With a smile that didn't reach his eyes she nodded and layered the whipcream on. Shawn had eaten about half the pancakes when he heard the door open and SHE walked in. She was with a guy and looked to be completely and utterly over him. Shawns food almost all came up and he swiftly looked away. Ducking his head and shoving more food into his mouth. He swallowed his mouthfula nd shot another look at her. He saw her writing in a notebook and craned his head to see it.

THAYET IRVINGTON "Faith is the strength by which a shattered world shall emerge into the light." - Helen KellerThayet immediatly edited her list, adding and overwritting things as she sighed and scooted the notebook closer to other tables, diverting her blue-eyed gaze to Greg, deciding to send him a dazzling smile that she drawled on easily she straightened her figure, straightening her white top and older jeans, sending him another dazzling smile. Deciding upon small-talk Thay leaned towards him across the table, holding her still hurting ribs and spoke easily. So, when are you going to produce a romantic dinner, which I just might reward with a kiss?

He couldn't keep anymore food down. He downed all his coffee and stood up. Taking a deep breath he got ready to walk past Thayet. His eyes were bloodshot. Somethign he thought she migth notice. He hadn't been getting much sleep after all. Standing up he smiled at the waitress before heading towards the door. On his way he glanced down at the paper Thayet had. He caught the last two things on the list. Rushign outside he leaned agaisnt the hood of his truck. Taking depe breathes. Calming himself down.

THAYET IRVINGTON "Faith is the strength by which a shattered world shall emerge into the light." - Helen KellerThayet practically choked when Shawn walked by, in her immediate reaction she knocked over her coffee drink, burning her hands and coating her white top. Murmuring a harsh curse Thayet looked apologetically at him, moving from the table she left and moved quickly outside, figuring at how he was gone she ran directly into him, a soft woosh escaping her as his body hit directly into her newly healed ribs, causing Thayet to bend down at the momentairy pain in attempt to catch her breath she kept low.

Shawn McCarther
As soon as Thayet bumped into him he straightened up with unknown speed. His head whipped aroudn and he saw her. Cursing he watched her. A dull look in his eyes. He was so depressed right now. Shawn leaned agaisnt the hood of his truck. Trying to look liek he didn't care. His eyes betrayed him though. "Ya aight?" he asked in a dull voice.

THAYET IRVINGTON "Faith is the strength by which a shattered world shall emerge into the light." - Helen KellerThayet moved softly into the standing position, her well manicured nails and fingertips moving to support her frame as she worked to regain her correct breathing order. She caught his words and moved her softened, completly vulnerable blue eyes to him as she fought back tears. I'm fine, I didn't mean to. Thay absentmindly rubbed her red right hand where the coffee had burned her and winced slightly.

Shawn McCarther
Shawn looked at her for a minute. Biting down on his lip he shook his head. When she looked at him he averted his gaze from hers completely. When she said she was alrigth he nodded and moved around awkwardly to the drivers side. "Thats good." he told her and swallowed. He looked downa dn winced. "I guess...I shoudl be going," he mumbled.

Thayet contemplated maybe just turning around and walking away. But she knew she'd never be the same again if she didn't give her life one last chance. Moving after him she attempted to run towards him, not knowing if he would welcome her intentions or not Thay threw her vulnerable self at him, her arms snaking around his neck to preform a hug as she began letting her unspoken tears flow.

Shawn McCarther
Shawn stiffened when she threw her arms around him. He hadn't been expecting it at all. "I..." he mumbled but jsut couldn't finish. What was he supposed to say. I love you so much, please come hoem with me so i never have to let you go? He couldn't say that to her. Slowly his arms curled around her waist. Pullign her close up against his body. Feeling her warmth. He liked it. Then he saw what he was dreading the most. Mary was wlakign down the street towards him. Angry. "How could you stnad me up?" she screamed at him and then shreaked when she noticed thayet's arms wrapped aroudn Shawn.

Thayet leaned further into him as he responded to her enjoying the feeling of him being near to her. Taking in a deep breath she let it out crisply as she turned her blonde head to see the beautiful girl approaching them, a blush filling her face as she reluctantly pulled her slender form out of Shawns arms, seperating them by a few inches Thay couldn't help but let a sly smile cross her lips as she watched the woman. Ahh I know, I'm a terrible little princess

Shawns fingers clutched at Thayet's waist as she extracted herself from his arms. He didn't want to let her go now that he had her. He loved her so much. Shawn cringed away from Mary as he watched Thayet. At her words a small smile crossed his lips and he stepped forward. Pulling Thayet agaisnt him. "I guess you didn't get the message i left." he told her with a shrug. He raised his eyebrows at her. Challenging her to fight against it. One of his hands started to trace patterns on Thayet's hip. He had to be close to her now.

THAYET IRVINGTON "Faith is the strength by which a shattered world shall emerge into the light." - Helen KellerThayet felt his arm still around her waist and allowed her form to be pulled against him, her blue eyes seemed almost distant as she looked at Mary. Of course her thoughts were whirling around her as she watched the young girl, whom Thay passed in height and was particularly better formed all around, a result of a dedicated rider. Did I impose on something between you two? Thayet silently held her breath as she listened carefully, laughing at her self in her mind at how much dignity she had even though she looked like trash all covered in coffee.

Shawn smiled down at Thayet and shook his head. Smirkign at Mary. "No your not," he said. He turned himself and Thayet away from Mary. "Lets get you some clean clothes," he said, his hand runnign over her shoulder as he looked at her wet shirt. He smiled to himself. She probably didn't realize but her white shirt was wet and the slightest bit see through even though it was coffee.
